Cowboy Church of Brenham, Texas

Lead Pastor Troy

Howdy Y’all,

“He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ‘Quiet! Be still!’ Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.” Mark 4:39

It’s interesting that even though Jesus was with His disciples, they still feared for their lives. In verse 38 we read the disciples thought they were going to drown. Do you ever feel this way? That you’re going to drown in the waves of the crazy times we sometimes find ourselves in?

When we find ourselves going through difficulties, we need to remember that the wind and waves still know His name. May we seek Jesus daily, and when the storms of life arise, may we call to Him who is able to calm them down.

Keep Looking Up,

Howdy Folks,

This Sunday we continue our ‘COUNTRY STRONG: 10 Values that Build Strong Families Message Series with “The Value of a Strong Mother”. We are looking at the 10 Commandments with fresh eyes and fresh application. These commandments are given to us for our good, and valuing them will build strong lives, strong marriages, strong kids, strong communities, and a strong church. We will be COUNTRY STRONG.

Parents and Grands, also this Sunday we have BABY DEDICATION in both the 8:30 and 10:30 am services. Reply to this email with names of babies and parents as you want them to appear along with a picture.

We will have Believer’s Baptism on Sunday, May 21st available in both services. Baptism in the Bible is ‘going public’ as a follower of Jesus. Baptism doesn’t get you to simply announces to your family, friends, and church family that you are headed to heaven! Baptism shows the death and burial of Jesus (lowered under the water), and the resurrection of Jesus and you raised to new life in Him (raised up out of the water). Reply to this email for more information or to register for baptism on May 21st. We also offer baptism any Sunday except days of Communion or Baby Dedication.

I can’t believe it’s already been a month since moving here. I had to stop the other day and just realize life moves fast. I’ve been able to accomplish quite a few things, but not everything I wanted to and I came to a conclusion. When the Bible talks about life being like a vapor (James 4:14) it wasn’t joking. So make sure your prioritize the things that truly matter. Tell people you love them, make the phone call, check on that person, rejoice with those doing great, enjoy the current moment you’re living in. So don’t miss today because you’re worried about tomorrow!!
